More produce is appearing on the shelves, but not to the overwhelming levels we&#8217;ll have in a couple of months.<\/p>\n<p>Asparagus<br \/>\nBeets: roots and greens<br \/>\nBroccoli<br \/>\nBroccoli Rabe<br \/>\nCauliflower (time to make <a href=\"http:\/\/www.addictedtocanning.com\/blog\/2010\/05\/09\/piccalilli\/\">piccalilli!<\/a>)<br \/>\nCabbage: red, green, Chinese<br \/>\nCarrots<br \/>\nPeas (English, sugar, snap, snow)<br \/>\nRadishes<br \/>\nSpinach<br \/>\nTurnip<br \/>\nOnions<br \/>\nKale<br \/>\nherbs<br \/>\nArugula \/ rocket<br \/>\nCilantro (one of my favourite herbs)<br \/>\nHoneydew melon (yum!)<br \/>\nFlat leaf parsley<br \/>\n(Corn was on sale at my local store &#8211; delicious, fresh, and cheap!)<\/p>\n<p>You should start seeing some more exotic stuff appearing in your local stores, but don&#8217;t let that fool you: check the price. Just because you *can* buy something, it doesn&#8217;t mean it&#8217;s in season.
